Location of GREEN disabled badge holders spaces
The GREEN disabled badge system is not a national scheme.
It is a scheme unique to Norwich and limited spaces are only provided within the City centre core. The City Council's Parking Services division issues all green badge permits.
Below is a list of all the green disabled spaces currently available within Norwich City Centre:
- 2 in Bethel Street (by the side of City Hall)
- 3 in London Street (in the pedestrianised area outside Burtons)
- 5 in Brigg Street (in the pedestrianised area outside Debenhams)
- 5 in St Peters Street (in front of City Hall). These currently replace the 5 spaces from Gentlemans Walk, opposite Lloyds Bank, during the refurbishment of the Market.
- 5 in Theatre Street (opposite the Assembly House)
Green badge holders can only park in these specific spaces. Badge holders cannot park using just the green badge in the blue badge space or in any other locations as specified in the national disabled badge scheme.
Usually anyone who has a green badge also has a national blue disabled badge.
Both blue and green disabled badge holders can park free of charge in the City Council’s surface pay and display car parks, in the metered bays free of charge for however long needed and also in the non-metered bays for however long is required.
For more information about GREEN badges call Norwich City Council on 01603-212512.
