There are nearly 200 blue badge parking spaces in the city centre available on street or in car parks, some are free, some are part free/chargeable, others are entirely chargeable. With the redevelopment of St Stephens Street we have only lost one bay out of the overall total number. The 5 bays outside Debenhams have not changed and there is still access into Rampant Horse Street to reach them or just to drop off.
If you need to be in St Stephens Street then there are several possible solutions.
Buses almost without exception in Norfolk, including the Park and Ride, have ramps and are wheelchair accessible. In the city most stop in St Stephens Street or at the Bus Station.
Norwich Door to Doorwill bring you into St Stephens Street and can drop you at the previous blue badge bay near Surrey Street. They pick up and drop off anywhere in the city.
Norwich Shopmobility, situated in the car park under Chapelfield Mall, will hire you a scooter, wheelchair or walking aid to access the city centre and you get to park for free.
There are additional blue badge bays in the new Mountergate multi-storey car park and we stand to gain 3 new on street blue badge bays with the redevelopment of Golden Ball Street.
